The last name has been found in different parts of the world, but mostly in Central America (El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica). According to migration records dated from 1700s the Oseguedas migrated from Mexico to Central America and also to the United States of America, but are all descendants of the Spanish Osegueras who landed in Mexico during the Spanish colonization of the 1400s and subsequent years. The spelling variations most commonly found are Oseguera, Osegueda and Ocegueda, It is worth noting that entire Osegueda family-groups have emigrated from Central America back to Mexico.
